This is the Job

We’re looking for a Portfolio Data & Reporting Analyst to join our Transformation team, combining strong data and reporting capability with an understanding of complex Technology, Transformation and Agile delivery environments.

Using Power BI, SQL and JQL, you’ll turn complex portfolio and delivery data into trusted, actionable insight that supports better planning, prioritisation and decision making. You’ll design and maintain reporting and self serve analytics across portfolio, Value Stream, Lab and Squad levels, providing clear visibility of delivery performance, resource capacity, demand and portfolio outcomes.

Working closely with our Portfolio Management Office, Jira Product Owner, Resource Manager, Data & Analytics teams and Technology and Delivery leaders, you’ll translate business and reporting requirements into meaningful dashboards, datasets and insight. You’ll also play an important role in improving data quality, metric definitions and reporting governance, reducing reliance on manual reporting and enabling teams and leaders to make better use of self serve analytics.

What You’ll Do

- Design, develop and maintain portfolio reporting and Power BI dashboards that provide timely, accurate and actionable insight across portfolio, Value Stream, Lab and Squad levels.

- Create self serve analytics capabilities that enable teams and leaders to independently explore delivery performance, resource capacity and portfolio data.

- Use SQL and JQL to extract, transform and analyse data from Atlassian tools, building clear views of progress, flow, dependencies, risks, issues, outcomes and trends.

- Develop resource capacity and demand reporting to support effective planning, prioritisation and decision making, including migrating existing capacity views into Atlassian based reporting.

- Partner with Transformation and Technology leaders and wider delivery stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into meaningful dashboards, datasets and insight.

- Improve data quality, metric definitions and reporting governance, working closely with Data & Analytics and helping colleagues interpret and use reporting effectively.

What You’ll Bring

- Strong experience working within a Portfolio, Transformation, Technology or Agile delivery environment, with a good understanding of how delivery operates across portfolios, programmes, Value Streams or cross functional teams.

- Strong hands on experience developing dashboards and self serve reporting in Power BI, including data modelling and DAX, with the ability to turn complex delivery data into clear and actionable insight.

- Practical experience using SQL to query, join and analyse complex datasets, alongside experience extracting and reporting on delivery data from Jira using JQL.

- Experience reporting across delivery performance, resource capacity, demand, forecasting, dependencies, risks and outcomes, with the ability to define meaningful metrics and KPIs that support planning and prioritisation.

- Experience improving data quality, reporting governance and self serve analytics, with strong attention to metric consistency, data accuracy, usability and visual clarity.

- Excellent stakeholder engagement and analytical capability, with experience working with Delivery, PMO, Product, Technology or senior leadership stakeholders to translate reporting needs into meaningful dashboards, insight and recommendations.
