Hosting Responsibilities
- Greet and seat members and guests with a friendly, welcoming demeanor, using names whenever possible.
- Know all table and section numbers and follow proper rotation to balance server workloads.
- Manage the reservation book and system, including pacing seatings, tracking wait times, and handling special requests.
- Keep the host station organized and stocked, with menus and wine lists clean and presentable.
Service Responsibilities
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them promptly into the POS system.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, daily specials, wine list, and common allergens to guide members and guests confidently.
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner and check back to ensure satisfaction.
- Anticipate needs such as refills, clearing, and pacing between courses.
- Present checks and process payments accurately, including member charges.
- Address concerns graciously and escalate to a manager when needed.
The compensation for this position $13 an hour plus tips.
