How This Role Makes a Difference
The Director, Community Strategy & Operations is a senior strategic and operational leader within Community Engagement, responsible for turning community engagement strategy into scalable operating plans, execution systems, and measurable outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of public health strategy, field operations, partnerships, analytics, and cross-functional execution.
This person will help shape how Care Access builds trusted community partnerships, scales community-based health screening and clinical research education programs, improves participant access, and strengthens the operating system that supports Community Engagement across geographies. The Director will serve as a central integrator across Community Engagement, Study Operations, Logistics, Quality, Technology, Finance, People Operations, and other partner teams to ensure priorities are clear, decisions move, risks are surfaced, and execution is disciplined.
A strong candidate will be a high-caliber operator with structured problem-solving ability, and experience leading complex work in matrixed environments. A candidate with top-tier consulting experience and public health or healthcare delivery experience would be especially well suited.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Own the design, implementation, and evolution of Community Engagement operating systems and execution frameworks, goals, and milestones; support annual and quarterly planning, resource allocation, budget inputs, and portfolio and strategy prioritization.
- Lead cross-functional integration across Community Engagement and partner functions, aligning priorities, owners, timelines, risks, decisions, and handoffs across departments so key initiatives move forward without gaps.
- Strengthen community partnership strategy and field enablement by supporting national and regional partnership models, partner prioritization, field playbooks, event-readiness tools, escalation pathways, and scalable community activation practices.
- Lead development and execution of scalable governance and performance-management systems for priority workstreams. Establish and monitor performance targets for strategic Community Engagement initiatives and recommend corrective actions to improve outcomes.
- Design and improve operating processes, playbooks, roles-and-responsibilities models, workflows, implementation plans, and change-management materials that improve Community Engagement scalability, quality, participant experience, and execution discipline.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Prepare content for leadership meetings, business reviews, decision forums, operating reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
- Support cross-functional program design, relaunch efforts, market expansion, staffing models, partner activation models, and technology adoption tied to Community Engagement priorities.
- Facilitate recurring operating reviews and track decisions, risks, dependencies, and action items to completion across departments.
- Translate performance data, qualitative field feedback, and stakeholder input into recommendations and practical action plans.
- Partner with analytics and reporting teams to improve visibility into partnership pipeline, event execution, participant experience, screening outcomes, staffing, quality, and team performance.
- Identify process breakdowns, recurring risks, and operational bottlenecks; lead improvement efforts to address root causes.
- Contribute to system, workflow, and change-management efforts that improve clarity, accountability, communication, and execution.
