Aldar Education · Abu Dhabi, UAE

Muna British Academy is seeking an outstanding teacher and inspirational Head of Mathematics to lead our ambitious department through an exciting phase of secondary expansion commencing in the 2027–2028 academic year. An ADEK-rated Outstanding British international school in Abu Dhabi, we combine high academic expectations with a caring, inclusive ethos, inspiring every student to achieve excellence and grow as a confident, curious and resilient learner.

Our secondary provision currently encompasses Key Stage 3, Years 7–9 and will expand into Key Stage 4 in the 2027/28 academic year. Students will follow Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Mathematics, with a planned pathway into A-Level study. This offers an exceptional opportunity for an aspirational leader to build on strong foundations, shape a coherent curriculum, and establish a culture of mathematical excellence as our school grows.

We are looking for a passionate mathematician who can enthuse students, enrich their learning, and raise their aspirations. You will champion a rigorous, carefully sequenced curriculum that develops fluency, reasoning and problem-solving, enabling students to articulate their thinking, embrace challenge and appreciate the relevance of Mathematics to their lives and future ambitions. Building on our adapted White Rose Maths approach at Key Stage 3, you will ensure that students develop the depth of understanding and independence needed to flourish at IGCSE, A-Level and beyond.

As an outstanding classroom practitioner and leader, you will model exceptional teaching, develop colleagues through purposeful professional learning and use assessment intelligently to strengthen student outcomes. Your high expectations will be matched by skilful adaptation, ensuring that every learner receives the support and challenge needed to excel.

Beyond the classroom, you will extend students’ mathematical horizons through enrichment, competitions, and meaningful connections with STEM, sustainability, and innovation. You will value our diverse international community, embrace our connection to the UAE, and contribute to an education in which character, wellbeing and achievement are equally valued.

If you have the expertise, ambition, and commitment to inspire young mathematicians and lead a department into its next stage of growth, we would be delighted to hear from you.
