Summary
The Business Systems Manager will play a key role in helping PD get the most value from its ERP investment. This person will lead the completion of ERP implementation efforts, work closely with teams across the business to improve processes and system functionality, and help ensure our systems support efficient, scalable operations. Success in this role requires someone who can quickly learn how the business works, build strong relationships, identify gaps and opportunities, and drive progress across teams.
The Business Systems Manager partners closely with Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to ensure business processes, data structures, and system capabilities align with organizational objectives. While this position does not directly supervise employees, it provides leadership, coordination, and accountability for ERP-related initiatives throughout the organization.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead the completion, adoption, and ongoing optimization of the company's ERP platform and related business systems.
- Serve as the primary business owner for ERP implementation efforts, ensuring projects remain aligned with business objectives and operational needs.
- Develop a thorough understanding of current business processes, system functionality, and implementation progress.
- Analyze workflows from financial outcomes through upstream processes to identify gaps, dependencies, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and Information Systems.
- Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional meetings, working sessions, and implementation activities.
- Drive accountability for project milestones, deliverables, and issue resolution across functional teams.
- Identify system, process, and data gaps and provide recommendations to leadership regarding solutions, priorities, and future-state requirements.
- Monitor implementation progress, risks, and dependencies and communicate status updates to executive leadership.
- Lead efforts to improve business processes, data integrity, reporting capabilities, and overall system utilization.
- Promote user adoption and organizational alignment by supporting training, communication, and change management initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a roadmap for future ERP enhancements, including functionality deferred during initial implementation.
- Create implementation plans that define business value, required resources, sequencing, timing, and rollout strategies for future phases.
- Establish system standards, priorities, and decision-making processes that support long-term scalability and operational effectiveness.
- Partner with business leaders to continuously evaluate opportunities to leverage technology to improve efficiency, visibility, and business performance.
- Ensure business systems support organizational growth, operational excellence, and strategic objectives.

Education/Certification
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- Five (5) or more years of experience managing business systems, ERP projects, process improvement initiatives, or cross-functional business programs.
- Experience working with enterprise business processes, including finance, manufacturing, inventory management, procurement, order fulfillment, and operations.
Preferred
- Experience implementing or optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other enterprise ERP platforms.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, retail display, distribution, or custom production environments.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), CAPM, Agile, Lean, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with business intelligence, reporting, and process automation tools.
