About the role
Logan Water is seeking a Digital Utility Operations Analyst to improve the performance, governance and operational management of the digital systems that support water and wastewater services.
Working across business units, ICT and vendors, you will coordinate digital operations, analyse business and system performance, manage software and service-related activities, and identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and service outcomes.
You'll analyse operational information, identify trends, uncover root causes and translate complex data into practical recommendations that improve business performance and customer outcomes.
You'll also be a key relationship builder, working across technical teams, business stakeholders and external suppliers to strengthen governance, improve operational processes and support the reliable delivery of digital services that enable Logan Water's operations.
Position responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and improving digital utility operational activities and service management processes.
- Undertaking business and systems analysis to identify risks, trends, root causes and improvement opportunities.
- Monitoring operational performance and analysing service outcomes to support informed decision-making.
- Supporting software licensing, vendor coordination, procurement and contract administration activities.
- Developing and maintaining operational reporting, governance controls and compliance processes.
- Investigating operational issues and providing evidence-based recommendations for improvement.
- Maintaining operational records, procedures, registers and supporting documentation.
- Supporting data quality assurance, reconciliations and audit readiness activities.
- Coordinating outcomes across Logan Water, ICT teams, suppliers and corporate support functions.
- Contributing to digital service improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.
Key indicators for success:
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in operational support, digital services, business systems, ICT operations or business analysis.
- A genuine passion for data, reporting and identifying meaningful trends and insights.
- Strong ability to analyse information, investigate root causes and build a clear story from operational data.
- Experience improving processes, governance arrangements and service performance outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience preparing reports, dashboards, recommendations and business insights for stakeholders.
- Experience with software licensing, vendor management, procurement or contract administration activities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build productive working relationships.
- Well-developed communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
- A customer-focused approach with a commitment to improving service delivery and operational outcomes.
- Ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgement and manage competing priorities.
Requirements:
