Ecoplastic America Corporation (Register, GA) seeks an IT Specialist to support and enhance the company’s technology infrastructure. The duties of the position include: (i) maintain, troubleshoot, install and optimize IT systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure for manufacturing and business operations; (ii) monitor, analyze and improve business and manufacturing workflows through technology, driving process efficiency, quality, and data consistency; (iii) provide user and system support, onboarding, technical guidance, training, and maintenance of business-critical systems for all departments; (iv) administer and support enterprise systems, including ERP and MES platforms, ensuring system functionality, data integrity, and operational continuity; (v) develop, document, and enforce IT and data management policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with company goals, compliance standards, and industry requirements; (vi) manage IT assets, coordinate with vendors for system support and procurement, and oversee backup, disaster recovery, and system security protocols. Requirements: a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field. Must also demonstrate at least one (1) of the following: experience with ERP and/or MES systems for operational data management; proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, virtualization, and general network concepts; or CompTIA A+, Network + or similar certification. Key Responsibilities
- IT Infrastructure Setup: Assist in the planning, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations, to support manufacturing operations.
- System Configuration: Configure and optimize software and hardware systems to ensure they meet the needs of the company’s automotive manufacturing processes.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT-related issues. Serve as the primary contact for resolving technical problems and ensuring minimal downtime.
- Network Management: Monitor and maintain network performance, including LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations. Ensure network security and data protection.
- Software Management: Install, configure, and manage software applications relevant to automotive manufacturing, including ERP and MES systems.
- Data Security: Implement and manage security protocols to protect sensitive company data and comply with industry regulations and standards.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with IT vendors and service providers to procure necessary hardware, software, and services.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures. Prepare reports on IT performance and issues.
