7-Eleven’s Digital Demand Chain & Logistics teams support the planning and movement of products from suppliers through distribution and into stores. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who can turn complex supply-chain and operating needs into durable digital products—and raise the product-management bar across the team.
This is the highest-level Product Manager role on the Demand Chain Product team. You will own a broad, strategically important product area, work across Digital Product Managers and partner functions, and set a strong product standard through your own work and influence.
The right person combines senior product leadership with practical experience in supply chain, retail, or frontline operations. You have seen how work actually happens in stores, distribution centers, transportation networks, or vendor operations, and can use that understanding to shape products that work in real operating conditions.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
40% Strategy & Planning
- Own product strategy and roadmap for a broad, strategically important Demand Chain product domain, aligning product investments with business outcomes, user needs, enterprise priorities, and delivery feasibility.
- Translate ambiguous business goals into clear product problems, measurable outcomes, capabilities, and sequenced roadmaps across connected products and workflows.
- Lead discovery with store and franchisee teams, distribution-center operators, transportation partners, vendors, and other users. Observe work in context and understand operating realities before shaping solutions.
- Bring practical supply chain, retail, logistics, and operations judgment to product decisions—including how inventory, ordering, vendor collaboration, distribution, transportation, receiving, and store delivery work in practice.
- Identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, visibility, inventory accuracy, order execution, and the experience of associates and partners; prioritize with evidence and explicit trade-offs.
- Define product success measures and product-health indicators; use operational and product data to evaluate outcomes and adjust direction.
- Partner with business leaders to clarify business outcomes and with Engineering, Architecture, Data, and adjacent Product Managers to define product capabilities, system direction, integration needs, and dependencies.
- Connect roadmaps across product areas, identify investment needs and risks, and communicate product direction and trade-offs clearly to senior stakeholders.
40% Delivery & Execution
- Lead the product development lifecycle from discovery and requirements through delivery, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Own a well-ordered, actionable product backlog. Break down epics and complex operational workflows into sequenced increments that deliver usable value and remain aligned to product outcomes.
- Write and maintain high-quality user stories and product requirements that clearly state the user, need, context, business rules, system behavior, exceptions, dependencies, and intended outcome.
- Define specific, testable acceptance criteria, including relevant edge cases, data needs, integration behavior, failure handling, and operational readiness. Ensure each story is understandable to Engineering, Design/UX, QA, and business partners.
- Lead product readiness for Agile delivery: facilitate or partner in backlog refinement and sprint planning; contribute actively to standups as appropriate; lead product decisions in sprint reviews and demos; and ensure retrospectives and release planning result in actionable follow-through.
- Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Design/UX, Data, Operations, and external providers on APIs, integrations, system behavior, data quality, scalability, reliability, legacy constraints, and rollout sequencing.
- Validate that delivered capabilities work end to end in real operational workflows. Coordinate pilots, testing, training, support readiness, and rollout plans with affected teams.
- Make timely scope and sequencing decisions, clear blockers, manage cross-product dependencies, and communicate changes and risks before they affect commitments.
- Monitor adoption, product performance, and operational outcomes after launch; use findings to prioritize fixes and future improvements.
20% Team & Stakeholder
- Serve as the senior-most individual-contributor Product Manager and product thought partner across Demand Chain & Logistics; lead through product judgment, expertise, and influence, without direct-report responsibility.
- Set and demonstrate a high bar for product strategy, user-story quality, backlog readiness, Agile execution, end-to-end ownership, and outcome measurement.
- Align Product Managers across adjacent areas on customer and operator journeys, shared capabilities, ownership boundaries, dependencies, and roadmap trade-offs while preserving clear accountability.
- Partner with Engineering, UX, Data, Demand Chain, Merchandising, Store Operations, Distribution, and vendors to resolve impediments and make timely decisions.
- Explain product and technical trade-offs in clear business and operational terms; prepare concise updates on product health, risks, investment needs, decisions, and outcomes.
- Share practical product guidance and reusable practices with peers where it improves execution; maintain PM ownership rather than becoming a required approval layer.

EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree or equivalent practical experience.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 7+ years
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in digital product management or product management for technology-enabled products.
- 5+ years of practical experience in supply chain, retail, logistics, distribution, store operations, or a closely related operating environment.
- Firsthand knowledge of how operational work is performed, for example, store or DC workflows, inventory and ordering, vendor collaboration, transportation, receiving, fulfillment, or delivery execution. Experience should go beyond documenting requirements from a distance.
- Demonstrated ownership of product strategy and roadmaps for complex, cross-functional products or platforms, with measurable business and operational outcomes.
- Hands-on experience writing and refining user stories, defining testable acceptance criteria, maintaining prioritized backlogs, and leading product work through Agile ceremonies.
- Ability to turn observed user needs and operational processes into clear product requirements, including business rules, system behavior, edge cases, integrations, and failure paths.
- Strong judgment in technical and business trade-offs, including the ability to partner effectively with Engineering and Architecture on APIs, integrations, data flows, reliability, and system constraints.
- Proven ability to lead through influence across Product, Engineering, Operations, Data, and business teams; experience setting a high product-quality bar across peer teams.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; able to use product and operational data to make decisions and explain complex workflows to frontline users, executives, and technical teams.
