ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage AI company building growth automation for consumer brands. As the second engineer, you will ship product hands-on while shaping the engineering culture and architecture, with a focus on reliable systems that help merchants improve growth operations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build data infrastructure that tracks merchant lifecycle events and connects actions to outcomes.
- Develop an agentic growth system that evaluates operations, identifies opportunities, and executes changes automatically.
- Own full-stack development of the growth engine, with an emphasis on backend systems and infrastructure.
- Build reliable integrations with commerce, advertising, and marketing platforms, along with orchestration tooling.
- Mentor engineers while remaining hands-on with day-to-day development.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Five to eight years of full-stack engineering experience, with strong backend experience in data infrastructure, event systems, and API integrations.
- Experience building and owning production-grade agentic or LLM-powered systems with third-party API integrations.
- Proficiency with Python and TypeScript; experience with commerce or marketing APIs such as Shopify, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, or Klaviyo is valuable.
- Experience at a high-growth technology company or well-funded startup, or a strong engineering degree background.
- Experience leading or mentoring one or two engineers, and an ability to bring structure to ambiguous, fast-moving work.
- Early-stage or founding engineering experience is valuable, as are clear communication skills and a record of sustained roles.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $175,000 to $225,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. Equity details were not provided.
