Position Summary
Meats by Linz is seeking a dependable and professional Local Route Driver to join our Dallas team. The Local Route Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering meat and food products to customers throughout the Dallas area and surrounding markets.
This position requires excellent customer service, safe driving practices, attention to detail, and the ability to handle products in a refrigerated/frozen environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles while following all DOT, company, and traffic regulations.
- Deliver meat and food products to customers along assigned local routes.
- Load, unload, and properly secure products for transportation.
- Verify orders and delivery quantities against invoices, manifests, or delivery documents.
- Obtain customer signatures and accurately document deliveries.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at each delivery location.
- Communicate with the warehouse and management regarding delivery issues, delays, shortages, or damaged products.
- Inspect the vehicle before and after each route and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Properly handle refrigerated and frozen products to help maintain product quality and food-safety standards.
- Follow all company GMP, food-safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with warehouse or loading activities when needed.
- Complete required delivery, mileage, fuel, and vehicle documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
