Senior Product Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a product engineering team building AI experiences for business users. You will work closely with a product designer to take features from early concepts through production, with a focus on making them useful and intuitive without requiring explanation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build new AI interaction patterns and user experiences where established best practices may not yet exist.
- Co-design features with a product designer or independently own them from concept through implementation.
- Shape information architecture, user flows, interface copy, and error states as part of feature development.
- Validate that features address real user needs and are discoverable and easy to use.
- Refine details such as spacing, loading states, and microcopy, and follow features after launch.
- Share context, explain trade-offs, and contribute to the team's engineering practices.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 3 years of experience building and shipping full-stack production features end-to-end.
- Experience developing frontend features with React and TypeScript, alongside server-side logic, data models, database queries, and API contracts.
- Ownership of complete feature experiences, including information architecture, user flows, copy, and error states.
- A user-focused approach and experience delivering products that are understandable and usable without guidance.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with product designers.
- Experience in a startup or scale-up; production experience with AI or machine learning features is a plus.
- Relevant technologies include PostgreSQL, tRPC, Kubernetes, Docker, and Electron.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Annual base salary: €60,000 to €90,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
Hybrid, based in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
