We are currently recruiting for a Food Service Assistant to join our team at Imphal Barracks, York, YO10 4HD. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to become part of a busy catering operation, supporting food preparation and service within a military environment.

What you'll be doing
- Preparing sandwiches, salads, and other cold food items
- Supporting the catering team with food preparation and service
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout kitchen and service areas
- Assisting with stock replenishment and basic kitchen duties
- Following food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures at all times
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the catering operation
- Previous kitchen or catering experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a busy environment
- Reliable and flexible approach to work
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Full training will be provided
- Successful candidates will be subject to Security Clearance prior to commencing employment.
