Senior Compliance Associate - AML / Privacy
The Voleon Group · London · hybrid
GBP 80,000 to 80,000 per year
Voleon is a technology company that applies state-of-the-art AI and machine learning techniques to real-world problems in finance. For nearly two decades, we have led our industry and worked at the frontier of applying AI/ML to investment management. We have become a multibillion-dollar asset manager, and we have ambitious goals for the future.
Your colleagues will include internationally recognized experts in artificial intelligence and machine learning research as well as highly experienced finance and technology professionals. The people who shape our company come from other backgrounds, including concert music performances, humanitarian aid, opera singing, sports writing, and BMX racing. You will be part of a team that loves to succeed together.
In addition to our enriching and collegial working environment, we offer highly competitive compensation and benefits packages, technology talks by our experts, a beautiful modern office, daily catered lunches, and more.
As a Senior Compliance Associate, AML & Privacy, you will take ownership of Voleon’s anti-money laundering (AML), investor due diligence, and data privacy compliance efforts, reporting directly to the Senior Compliance Manager in our London office. As our investor base becomes increasingly global, you will partner closely with the firm’s fund administrator on escalated investor cases, lead enhanced due diligence on investors from higher-risk jurisdictions, and oversee the firm’s privacy compliance obligations, particularly under UK and European requirements. This is a chance to build, not just maintain: you’ll help shape our AML and privacy programmes as they grow.
As part of the Compliance department, you will have broad exposure to the firm’s trading, operations, and research groups, navigate issues related to the firm’s investment products in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment, and help develop policies and procedures to manage and mitigate regulatory requirements. As you grow, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities, become a subject matter expert, and make an increasingly significant impact on the firm. This role is hybrid, with an expectation of working in our London office at least three days per week.

- Liaise and collaborate with outside counsel, compliance consultants, and other service providers, as necessary
- Take on broader responsibilities and develop subject matter expertise as you grow within the role
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-5+ years of experience in AML, KYC, financial crime compliance, or investor due diligence, ideally within investment management or financial services
