Note
Candidates must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and an active Alabama or Georgia bar license in good standing, with Alabama licensure or eligibility to obtain it for this position. Prior consumer bankruptcy experience is preferred but not required. We welcome newer attorneys eager to learn and grow in bankruptcy law.

Job Description
- Represent individuals and families in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer bankruptcy cases.
- Guide clients through the bankruptcy process, providing practical legal advice and compassionate support.
- Review financial records, creditor information, and supporting documents to develop effective case strategies.
- Prepare and review bankruptcy petitions, schedules, motions, and other court filings.
- Represent clients at meetings of creditors, confirmation hearings, and bankruptcy court proceedings.
- Communicate and negotiate with trustees, creditors, and opposing counsel.
- Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants to manage cases, deadlines, and client communications.
- Build your expertise in consumer bankruptcy law while delivering excellent client service.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active Alabama or Georgia bar license in good standing, with eligibility for Alabama licensure.
- Strong legal research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and client relationships.
- Compassionate, professional, and team-oriented approach.
- Chapter 7, Chapter 13, consumer bankruptcy, or debtor representation experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Best Case Bankruptcy software is a plus.
- Newly licensed attorneys are encouraged to apply.
