Junior Finance Analyst

We are looking for a highly organized, analytical, Junior Finance Analyst to join our growing team.

This is a broad role combining financial operations, budgeting and reporting, vendor management, employee-related finance processes, contracts and compliance support.

The role will have significant responsibility for maintaining accurate financial data, monitoring expenses and supporting the company’s ongoing financial operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior finance professional who wants to gain broad, hands-on exposure to the financial and operational side of a scaling startup.

Responsibilities

- Own day-to-day finance operations, including vendor management, accounts payable, invoicing, payments, and expense tracking.

- Manage banking activities, credit card reconciliations, and recurring operational expenses.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and budget-to-actual analysis.

- Prepare and maintain financial, operational, and management reports.

- Oversee financial administration and compliance of government-funded programs, including reporting and budget tracking.

- Support the costing, pricing, and financial management of new programs and projects.

- Coordinate contract administration, legal documentation, and compliance requirements.

- Manage employee-related financial processes, including expense reimbursements, onboarding documentation, and travel expenses.

- Identify and resolve financial discrepancies, outstanding items, and process gaps.

- Drive the development and improvement of financial controls, processes, and reporting infrastructure to support company growth.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field (Preference will be given to candidates with a combined background in Accounting and Law).

- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.

- Strong analytical and numerical skills.

- High attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive tasks to completion.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

- High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism when handling sensitive financial, contractual, and employee-related information.
