Senior C# Engineer - Front Office

We’re working with a leading financial services organisation looking for a Senior C#/.NET Engineer to join a front-office technology team supporting FX Options and Fixed Income.
This is a hands-on role working closely with traders, supporting and enhancing an existing business-critical trading application. The environment is fast-paced and stakeholder-heavy, so they need someone technically strong, pragmatic and comfortable operating directly with front-office users.
What you’ll be doing - Supporting and enhancing an existing C#/.NET trading application
- Working closely with FX Options traders and business stakeholders
- Delivering new features and production fixes
- Supporting the application through an ongoing transition/decommissioning programme
- Troubleshooting issues in a fast-paced front-office environment
- Contributing across the full SDLC
- Using AI-assisted development tools, including Claude, as part of day-to-day engineering
What we’re looking for - Strong commercial C#/.NET experience
- Solid WPF experience
- Experience supporting or enhancing existing desktop applications
- Front-office, trading, markets, risk or investment banking experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working directly with demanding business users/traders
- Strong debugging and production support capability
- Git/GitHub and modern development practices
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools desirable
The opportunity - 12-month contract
- Up to $1,000/day + super
- Sydney-based - Hybrid
- Option to renew for another 12 months
