Supervisor, Finance Process Excellence

Your Role and ImpactAs the Supervisor, Finance BPM and Process Excellence, you will lead and develop assigned Business Process Modeling team members while personally supporting complex Finance process-modeling initiatives across Flowserve. Reporting to the BPM Manager, you will help build a scalable, Business Services Center-based Finance BPM and Process Excellence capability.
By partnering with Finance leaders and subject-matter experts across the organization, you will create clear end-to-end process documentation, strengthen adoption of BPM and ARIS standards, and identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise, coach, and develop assigned Business Process Modeling team members.
- Coordinate team workload and assignments in line with priorities established by the BPM Manager.
- Partner with the BPM Manager to transition the team toward a sustainable, full-time Business Services Center operating model.
- Perform first-line quality reviews of process models, standard operating procedures, and related documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with BPM and ARIS standards.
- Personally lead complex, high-priority, and cross-functional Finance process-modeling engagements.
- Facilitate process interviews and workshops with Finance process owners and subject-matter experts across Flowserve.
- Create and maintain clear end-to-end process models, standard operating procedures, and job aids using ARIS.
- Ensure process documentation captures steps, roles, systems, controls, handoffs, inputs, outputs, and upstream and downstream dependencies.
- Identify process gaps, unclear ownership, redundancies, manual workarounds, and opportunities for standardization, simplification, automation, and improvement.
- Drive adoption of BPM standards, templates, and documentation practices through stakeholder engagement, training, and change-management activities.
- Contribute practical recommendations for AI-enabled process modeling, automation, process analytics, and future improvement opportunities.
- Escalate material delivery risks, capacity concerns, quality issues, stakeholder barriers, and unresolved process decisions to the BPM Manager.
- Work collaboratively with Finance leaders and stakeholders beyond the Business Services Center to support consistent process-modeling practices.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of progressive Finance experience in areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Intercompany, Tax, Treasury, or related Finance operations.
- Experience leading projects, workstreams, teams, or cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience creating process models, process maps, workflows, standard operating procedures, or related documentation using ARIS, Visio, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Finance processes, ERP touchpoints, controls, systems, and cross-functional handoffs.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops, interview subject-matter experts, and translate complex activities into clear, usable documentation.
- Strong communication, coaching, organizational, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Advanced English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Previous supervisory or people-leadership experience.
- Experience in a Shared Services or Business Services Center environment.
- Knowledge of BPMN or other process-modeling standards.
- Experience in process improvement, automation, AI-enabled documentation, or process-mining initiatives.
