Safety Pilot & Aircraft Technician

Mission
As a Safety Pilot & Aircraft Technician, you will support flight testing and aircraft preparation, ensuring TEKEVER platforms are safe, reliable and ready to fly. Working closely with Engineering, Remote Pilots and Flight Test teams, you will contribute to the validation of new developments, monitor aircraft behaviour during flight and provide technical feedback to improve our platforms.
What will be your responsibilities?
- Support the planning, execution and analysis of test flights;
- Act as Safety Pilot during test campaigns, monitoring operations and managing flight safety;
- Manually pilot aircraft using an RC transmitter when required, including handling evaluation and recovery situations;
- Prepare, assemble and inspect aircraft before and after flights;
- Support component integration, maintenance, repairs and technical troubleshooting;
- Monitor aircraft performance and report anomalies and observations to Engineering;
- Maintain flight, configuration and maintenance records, as well as test equipment and tools.
Profile and requirements
- Proven RC pilot experience;
- Hands-on technical experience with aircraft, UAS, RC models or similar electromechanical systems;
- Ability to read technical documentation, drawings and wiring diagrams;
- English proficiency (B2 level);
- Strong situational awareness, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
- Comfortable working in workshop, hangar and field environments;
- Willingness to travel for flight test campaigns.
Nice to have
- Technical training in aeronautics, mechanics or electronics;
- Experience in flight testing, aircraft maintenance or engineering development;
- Knowledge of avionics, wiring, flight controllers, telemetry and flight log analysis;
- Aviation experience or pilot licence;
- A1/A3 and A2 certificates;
- Knowledge of meteorology and airspace operations.
