Business Analyst, Data Platform & BI (GCP / Airflow)
Our client, a major media organisation, is seeking a technically minded Business Analyst to support its data platform and BI program. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and business, making sure the platform delivers trusted, usable data to teams across the organisation.
What you'll be doing
- Eliciting and documenting requirements for data ingestion, transformation and reporting
- Working closely with data engineers on GCP (BigQuery) and Airflow orchestrated pipelines
- Defining data models, source to target mappings and data quality rules
- Partnering with BI developers to shape dashboards and semantic layers
- Managing backlog items, writing user stories and supporting testing and release
What you'll bring
- Proven experience as a Data or Technical Business Analyst on platform initiatives
- Working knowledge of GCP, particularly BigQuery, and Airflow
- Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau or Power BI
- Comfortable operating in Agile delivery teams
- Media or digital industry experience is a plus
