Sourcing Leader

Inter IKEA Group · Älmhult, Kronoberg County, Sweden

You see things a little differently. So do we. We believe in discovering and developing the talent in each of us. We invest in your passions and encourage you to grow with them. Come and see things a little differently with us!

Indirect Procurement organization is part of Purchasing Development and has the assignment to operate across the Inter IKEA Group companies, between all three core businesses. Our ambition is to secure the best possible prerequisites for Inter IKEA Group to handle the new world, at the same time fulfilling the future needs of partnership and supplier innovations within Digital, Professional Services, and Machinery & Equipment.

And right now we are re-shaping how we work with Indirect Procurement!

We are building a new Indirect Procurement organisation with clearer ownership, stronger business integration and a dedicated Sourcing organisation bringing sourcing activities together.

We are looking for experienced Sourcing Leaders who want to help us build it.

Lead the sourcing decisions that impact everyone in IKEA

As a Sourcing Leader, you will take the lead when sourcing gets complex.

You will lead important sourcing activities and negotiations across areas such as Machinery, Energy, Digital and Professional Services, working closely with stakeholders and procurement colleagues across IKEA.

This is a role for someone who enjoys the craft of sourcing: understanding the business need, challenging it when needed, understanding the supplier market, creating the right competitive setup and bringing the sourcing process all the way to a strong commercial agreement.

And because we are building something new, you will have an opportunity to influence how we source, not only what we source.

A day in your life with us

You will:

- Lead complex RFx, supplier selections, negotiations and contracting.

- Turn business needs and segment direction into effective sourcing approaches.

- Work across different indirect procurement segments and supplier markets.

- Create competition and challenge established solutions when there is a better way.

- Work closely with stakeholders, Legal, Finance and other procurement colleagues.

- Balance cost, quality, sustainability, risk and business needs.

- Lead and support challenging supplier and commercial situations.

- Coach Sourcing Specialists and share your sourcing experience with others.

- Help us develop common sourcing processes, tools and ways of working.

- Explore and apply e-auctions, digital sourcing, automation and autonomous sourcing where they add value.

The new organization brings sourcing activities together within Sourcing Operations, with supplier selections and contracts delivered through different sourcing approaches including RFx, spot buys and e-auctions.

Who you are

You are an experienced sourcing professional who gets energy from solving difficult commercial challenges and getting things done.

You are curious, business-minded and comfortable working with different stakeholders, markets and types of spend. You know when to listen, when to challenge and when to move forward.

You have led significant sourcing initiatives, negotiated strategic agreements and know how to balance commercial outcomes with long-term business value.

We believe you bring:

- Strong experience in sourcing, procurement or category management.

- Experience from two or more indirect procurement segments, preferably across Machinery, Energy, Digital and/or Professional Services.

- A strong track record of leading complex sourcing activities and negotiations.

- Good understanding of supplier markets, commercial agreements and cost drivers.

- Experience working with senior stakeholders and balancing different business needs.

- Strong commercial and analytical thinking.

- The ability to influence, collaborate and create clarity in complex situations.

We would be especially curious if you have also:

- Helped establish or transform a sourcing or procurement organisation.

- Developed sourcing processes, tools or ways of working.

- Worked hands-on with e-auctions or digital sourcing platforms.

- Introduced automation or autonomous sourcing into procurement.

- Helped others grow their sourcing competence.
