Senior Data Analyst

Sharp & Carter is partnering with a growing Australian organisation seeking an experienced Data Analyst for an initial 12-month fixed term contract to support the development of its data foundations and reporting capabilities.

This is an opportunity to join a business at the early stages of its data transformation journey, working across multiple departments to improve data quality, establish consistent reporting standards and create a reliable single source of truth.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical data analysis skills with the ability to engage stakeholders, facilitate workshops and translate complex data findings into meaningful business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct hands-on data discovery, profiling, reconciliation and validation across multiple business systems.

- Work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Development, Asset Management and Investment to understand reporting requirements and KPIs.

- Facilitate workshops to establish consistent data definitions, ownership and reporting priorities.

- Develop and maintain data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings and KPI documentation.

- Identify data quality issues, inconsistencies and opportunities to improve reporting accuracy.

- Translate business requirements into structured data models and specifications for future reporting solutions.

- Support the implementation of a new enterprise data platform, working alongside internal teams and external delivery partners.

Skills & Experience

- Previous experience as a Data Analyst, ideally contributing to a data warehouse, data platform or data transformation project.

- Strong SQL skills with the ability to independently query, analyse and validate data.

- Experience in data discovery, profiling, reconciliation and source-to-target mapping.

- Demonstrated ability to facilitate stakeholder workshops and gather business requirements.

- Experience working with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite or similar ERP/CRM platforms.

- Strong documentation skills, including data dictionaries, data mappings and reporting specifications.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Exposure to Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or similar data platforms will be highly regarded.

- Experience within property or real estate would be advantageous but is not essential.
