About the Position
The primary focus of the Systems Analyst is to analyse and design the technical solutions that meet business requirements. This includes ensuring adherence to IDS policies, procedures and processes during configuration, testing and implementation of system changes.
About You
You are a skilled Systems Analyst who thrives on solving complex problems and delivering practical digital solutions. Combining technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement skills, you analyse requirements, configure applications, guide solution design and drive successful implementations. From integrations and testing through to continuous improvement, you ensure systems are reliable, secure, fit for purpose and aligned with organisational priorities.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience analysing, configuring, implementing and supporting digital solutions, applications and technology platforms to meet organisational and user needs.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions, including solution design, options analysis, process improvement, integrations, data flows and APIs.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes, assess impacts and deliver sustainable technology improvements.
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions, build collaborative relationships and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience contributing to the delivery of digital solutions, including testing, implementation, vendor engagement, change activities and ongoing operational support.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare technical documentation and work within governance, security, compliance, change management and operational technology frameworks.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in systems analysis, application configuration, technology delivery or digital solutions environments.
- Experience with TechnologyOne OneCouncil or similar enterprise platforms (desirable).
- Experience working within local government or another regulated environment (desirable).
