Potomac Falls Health & Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated RN Unit Manager to oversee the daily clinical operations of a nursing unit while ensuring exceptional resident care and regulatory compliance.
Position Summary
The RN Unit Manager is responsible for supervising nursing staff, coordinating resident care, maintaining clinical documentation, and promoting a positive environment for residents, families, and team members. This role combines hands-on nursing care with leadership responsibilities to support quality outcomes and resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of an assigned nursing unit.
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
- Conduct resident assessments and care plan reviews.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate and address resident concerns and clinical issues promptly.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Support infection prevention and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
