Job Description

Who We Are

At Telstra, we build the connectivity Australians rely on every day. Network Product & Technology designs, builds and runs the networks that connect our customers, and we are changing how we work so we can deliver faster and with greater focus on customers. When you join our team, you join a community that backs its people to take on big, meaningful challenges.

Focus of the Role

As Technology Product Owner Principal – DigiCel Network Strategy, you will hold a key leadership role in our agile and strategic delivery framework. You will define, drive and deliver the network strategy and execution roadmap that supports DigiCel’s network transformation and delivery commitments.

This role operates at the intersection of strategy, execution and commercial delivery. You will be the single point of accountability for the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-risk and high-value network programs across DigiCel markets, spanning network delivery, regulatory engagement, commercial negotiation and executive governance.

Working closely with the Group Owner (Wireless Technology & Strategy), you will contribute to OKRs, shape delivery strategy and translate strategic priorities into executable programs aligned to financial, regulatory and business objectives. Your work will enable DigiCel network outcomes that meet Telstra International commitments, deliver certainty across multi-market and multi-stakeholder environments, and optimise the value delivered to both Telstra and DigiCel.

- Identify and resolve systemic blockers across organisational, vendor and governance layers, and maintain delivery certainty across competing priorities, dependencies and constraints.

- Ensure regulatory compliance and policy alignment in partnership with Legal, Corporate Affairs and Government Affairs.

- Own program-level financial performance, including budget oversight, forecasting and risk identification.

- Facilitate complex commercial engagements with vendors and partners, including contract negotiation and interpretation, performance management and dispute resolution, driving commercial discipline aligned to Telstra frameworks while enabling delivery outcomes.

- Embed within DigiCel and Telstra operating environments to understand decision rights and governance models, navigate organisational complexity, and align and influence stakeholders across DigiCel leadership, Telstra International and Wireless Engineering, using a consultative and outcome-driven approach.

- Develop executive-level strategy and position papers that translate complex technical, regulatory and delivery challenges into clear options, risks and recommendations.

- Contribute to strategic planning cycles, multi-year roadmap development, and investment and prioritisation decisions.

- Provide thought leadership on delivery frameworks, risk management and execution models for large-scale network programs.
