Senior Software Engineer Air Autonomy

You will design, develop, document, test, and improve live, virtual, and constructive simulation solutions. You will create scenarios and interface code, resolve integration issues, build LVC architectures, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and security compliance.
Responsibilities- Develop live, virtual, and constructive simulation solutions for tactical AI agents
- Research modeling, simulation, and communication tools
- Incorporate proprietary vendor models while respecting intellectual property boundaries
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
- Write, modify, test, and debug C++, Python, and interface code
- Design LVC integrations that meet performance, scalability, and security requirements
Requirements- Master's degree or equivalent experience in modeling and simulation, computer science, or software engineering
- Experience with DIS, HLA, DSEEP, and custom methods for building LVC federations
- Knowledge of DDS, ZeroMQ, Kafka, Redis, and protobuf
- Experience with defense modeling and simulation tools such as AFSIM, NGTS, and flight simulators
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing modern C++
- Experience with Docker, containerized development, Linux, git, Visual Studio Code, GitLab, SonarQube, and Artifactory or Azure Container Registry
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to hold or obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance
