Supply Chain Business Development Manager, Auto & Manufacturing Industry Specialists and Solutions
Amazon · Courbevoie, Ile-de-France, FRA
Are you passionate about helping the world's largest manufacturers and industrial enterprises reimagine their supply chains and operations using the power of the cloud? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join the Industry Specialists team focused on Supply Chain & Operations across EMEA.
In this role, you will own the business development strategy for supply chain and operations workloads — spanning planning, procurement, logistics, warehouse management, and supply chain operations — engaging directly with C-suite executives and VPs at leading industrial companies.
Your responsibilities will include providing thought leadership to the sales organisation, engaging AWS Solutions Architects and industry partners, leading the process to enable industry solutions, and helping evolve AWS offerings for more rapid adoption by customers. You will translate complex customer challenges into cloud-enabled opportunities, shape AWS's go-to-market approach, and build a qualified pipeline of high-impact engagements that accelerate digital transformation engaging with key customers and prospects.
The ideal candidate will have both a business and consulting background with experience working with Industrial and Automotive & Manufacturing customers, and demonstrated experience interacting at the CxO/VP level with a solid understanding of cloud technology. This is an individual contributor role that demands strategic and analytical thinking about business, product, and technical challenges — combined with a builder's mindset, a keen sense of ownership, drive, and the scrappiness to deliver results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Define and execute the EMEA supply chain & operations BD strategy in alignment with the global AWS industry roadmap, identifying priority segments, customer targets, and partnership opportunities.
- Engage C-level and VP stakeholders (Chief Supply Chain Officer, VP Operations, VP Procurement, CIO/CTO) at target accounts to understand their strategic priorities, build trust, and position AWS as a long-term transformation partner.
- Develop and manage a high-quality business development pipeline by identifying, qualifying, and advancing opportunities across supply chain planning, procurement, manufacturing operations, warehousing, and logistics.
- Provide thought leadership on supply chain and operations modernisation — including demand planning, S&OP, control tower, digital twin, warehouse automation, and related factory operations — through executive briefings, industry events, workshops, and published content.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with AWS field sales, solutions architects, professional services, industry specialists, partner teams, and product teams to shape solutions, build go-to-market plays, and close strategic opportunities.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with ISVs (e.g. SAP, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, o9 Solutions, Coupa), system integrators, and technology partners to create joint solutions that address end-to-end supply chain challenges.
- Serve as the "voice of the customer" internally, synthesising market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer feedback to influence AWS product and solution development.
- Present business reviews to senior AWS leadership on pipeline health, market trends, wins, and areas requiring investment or escalation.
- Handle a high volume of engagements across multiple geographies and stakeholders in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
