Aramark is seeking an experienced and passionate Gardener to join our team in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of clients' internal gardens, landscaped areas, and vegetable beds, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards throughout the year.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who takes pride in horticulture, enjoys working outdoors, and has a strong eye for detail and plant care.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance internal gardens, landscaped areas, and vegetable beds.
- Plant, cultivate, prune, weed, water, and fertilise a variety of plants, flowers, shrubs, and vegetables.
- Monitor plant health and implement appropriate pest and disease control measures.
- Prepare and maintain seasonal planting displays.
- Ensure all gardens and green spaces are presented to a high aesthetic standard.
- Operate and maintain gardening tools, machinery, and equipment safely.
- Assist in planning and implementing landscaping improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of planting schedules and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures at all times.
- Liaise professionally with client representatives and site management teams.
Skills Required
- Strong horticultural knowledge and practical gardening skills.
- Excellent plant identification and plant care knowledge.
- Experience in maintaining vegetable gardens and growing produce.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of presentation.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to operate gardening machinery and equipment safely.
- Organised, reliable, and proactive approach to work.
- Full clean driving licence desirable.
Experience Required
- Previous experience in a professional gardening, horticulture, landscaping, or grounds maintenance role.
- Proven experience maintaining gardens, planting schemes, and vegetable beds.
- Experience working within client-facing environments is advantageous.
- Relevant horticultural qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of seasonal planting, pruning techniques, and plant care best practices.
