What we're looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Property Manager who is passionate about our people and the resident experience. This leader will run a stabilized, mixed-income, two-building community in the heart of the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent customer service skills, a passion for delivering a high-quality product, and a commitment to creating a positive team member and resident experience.

This is a high-touch role in a dynamic, fast-paced, stabilized two-building community. Resident and neighborhood situations can be challenging, so we're looking for someone who stays calm under pressure, de-escalates conflict effectively, and handles concerns with both firmness and empathy.

What you'll be doing:

· Directly manage the on-site team, including the Assistant Property Manager, Maintenance Manager, and Leasing personnel. Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and formal corrective action in coordination with HR.

· Own resident collections, delinquency management, and the legal arrears process, including the housing court calendar, stipulation tracking, and coordination with counsel. Experience with rental assistance programs and processing one-shot deal paperwork is required.

· Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, property management and resident relations.

· Oversee leasing, take part in all leasing meetings and maintain the relationship with the Administrative Agent for all affordable unit re-rentals.

- Establish and maintain relationships with team members, residents, vendors, community leaders, financial partners and city agencies in collaboration with upper management.

- Serve as a visible, approachable presence on site, building trust with residents and partnering with local organizations and agencies in the Mott Haven community.

- Address resident concerns, conflicts and sensitive situations promptly and professionally escalating to upper management as needed.

- Consistently make a conscious and positive impact on everyone your Domain footprint reaches and beyond.

- Identify and seek out opportunities to add value to the property, the resident experience and the team member experience.

- Lead and develop direct reports. Make sure they feel supported, aligned and engaged in their role and connected to the greater team and Company.

- Understand the business objectives to ensure optimal property performance in line with company benchmark expectations.

- Meet property financial goals through successful execution of the business plan and adherence to the operating budget.

- Review property performance and evaluate marketing, pricing and financial strategies.

- Maintain product knowledge of the community through consistent evaluation of market conditions and trends.

- Mitigate, monitor and resolve all violations through to completion in collaboration with the compliance department.

- In collaboration with the Maintenance Manager oversee repairs, maintenance and building mechanical preventative maintenance.

- Be proactive about solving problems, even outside your area, and be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge.

- Seek out opportunities to lead, and do everything you can to help the Company achieve its larger objectives.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required:

- Bachelor's degree preferred, with a concentration in business administration or real estate preferred.

- A minimum of 4 years of property management experience required.

- Experience leading and developing a team required.

- Experience with multi-family general repairs, maintenance, mechanicals, and Local Laws.

- Experience with various regulatory agencies required; affordable housing required.

- Proven ability to handle difficult conversations and conflict resolution with professionalism and composure.

- Technically savvy, with the ability to learn our property management software. Yardi Voyager experience required.

- Experienced in MS Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook.

- Customer-centric, with a warm demeanor, positive attitude and impeccable follow-through.

- Able to work independently and with a team.

- Able to plan and prioritize efficiently and motivate and lead team members.

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines.

- Strong written and oral communication and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands:

- This position involves regular walking, climbing of stairs, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.

- May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Scaling of ladders is a common occurrence, therefore, comfortability with heights is required.

- May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.

- Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

- May involve moving or lifting items at or under 40 pounds. Lifting belt is required.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on needs of the property as well as the company needs.
