About the Role:
As a Technical Product Owner, you will be the driving force behind the delivery and lifecycle of our product features. Working within an Agile engineering team and partnering closely with our Tech Lead/Architect, you will act as the essential link between our customer-facing Product Managers and the development team.
While the Tech Lead drives architectural decisions and manages the engineers, you will take full ownership of the team's backlog, feature planning, and post-deployment success.
Because our current technical leadership leans heavily into complex systems architecture, we are looking for a proactive, communicative leader to champion Agile processes and cross-team relationships.
This role is perfect for a product-minded technical expert who enjoys being hands-on—regularly contributing to code and prototypes—while ensuring seamless delivery and alignment across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take end-to-end ownership of feature delivery and product health, managing pre-release planning, priorities, and timelines, as well as post-release success, including deployment coordination, feature activation, and production monitoring.
- Act as the definitive technical bridge between non-technical stakeholders and developers, actively participating in and contributing to Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Refinement, Review) to ensure continuous alignment, clear communication, and team momentum.
- Partner closely with strategic Product Managers to understand business roadmaps, translating high-level business goals into well-defined epics and user stories.
- Own, prioritize, and maintain the sprint backlog, partnering with the PMs, Tech Lead and Infrastructure teams to balance new feature delivery against technical debt, optimizations, and scalability.
- Serve as the primary liaison for internal teams (Support, Customer Success, Expert Services) to field product inquiries, triage and investigate production bugs, and gather operational feedback to continually improve the product.
- Contribute hands-on to code and technical initiatives, rolling up your sleeves to build prototypes, develop proof-of-concepts, and assist in technical investigations across our polyglot stack (spanning diverse frontend and backend environments).
- Collaborate closely with the QA team to define robust Acceptance Criteria and evaluate completed sprint deliverables, ensuring everything meets quality benchmarks and the team's Definition of Done.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to optimize Agile workflows, draft user stories, analyze backlog health, and streamline cross-functional communication.
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in the software industry, ideally transitioning from an engineering role into a Product Owner or Technical Program Manager.
- Proven track record of successfully managing technical backlogs, delivering complex projects, and demonstrating measurable impact on product performance or stability.
- Deep understanding of API design, system architecture, database interactions, and object-oriented programming principles.
- Ability to use AI tools across the product lifecycle (requirement analysis, story generation, acceptance testing definition, and workflow automations).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and enterprise integrations (e.g., Salesforce).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to foresee technical bottlenecks and effectively sequence development work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to "translate" between business-focused Product Managers and deeply technical engineering teams.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong desire to learn, grow, and optimize team delivery.
- Fluent in English and French
