Assistant Project Manager

Aguirre & Fields is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in our Sugar Land, TX office to support the planning, design, and delivery of transportation CEI and roadway projects. In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers and technical teams to help keep projects on track, coordinate project activities, monitor schedules and budgets, and contribute to engineering solutions that make a visible difference in the communities we serve.

You will gain hands-on project management experience while supporting project execution, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and building relationships with clients and stakeholders.

- Assist Project Managers in delivering design and construction projects on schedule, within budget, and with high levels of client satisfaction.

- Partner with project engineers, engineers in training, and technical staff to plan work and maintain momentum.

- Support the project manager, task lead, or technical resource on pursuits and RFP responses.

- Champion quality by ensuring project deliverables follow current company QC practices.

- Contribute to innovation, professional development, and community-focused business development efforts.

The Ideal Candidate

You are an organized and driven civil engineering professional who enjoys working collaboratively, solving problems, and taking ownership of your work. You are eager to grow your project management capabilities while building technical expertise and client relationship skills.

- Relevant civil engineering design experience, preferably in transportation CEI or roadway projects.

- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, from an ABET/EAC accredited program.

- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required;

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within a team environment.

- Experience with relevant engineering software and technology.

- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning.

- A collaborative approach and desire to support both project teams and clients.
