Within the team, Corporate Tax activity covers compliance, tax accounting, reporting, payments and technical analysis. This role offers broad exposure to reporting, business change and significant transactions, alongside the opportunity to work with Finance colleagues, auditors and HMRC.

More about the role

As Direct Tax Accountant, you will support the delivery of accurate, timely and well-controlled Corporate Tax compliance and reporting. You will prepare UK Corporation Tax returns, computations, supporting schedules, claims and elections for companies, as well as quarterly payment calculations and information used for tax payments, refunds and cash-tax forecasting.

You will also research technical issues, support HMRC and audit enquiries, coordinate data for business change or significant transactions, and improve Corporate Tax processes, controls, documentation, data quality and technology use.

More about you

You will understand statutory reporting, current and deferred tax, audit evidence and financial controls, and be able to reconcile detailed data accurately across multiple reporting requirements.

You will be able to research technical tax matters and translate findings into clear, practical guidance for non-tax stakeholders. An organised approach to competing deadlines, collaborative working style and evidence-based judgement will help you succeed.
