Compensation: $95,000-110,000 depending on experience

Job Summary
The Generator Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the installation of Residential Standby Power Generators and battery storage solutions. This role will be a key player in driving operational excellence. This strategic leadership role involves overseeing day-to-day operations and managing the Generator team.
What You Will Do
- Assist Director in leading and managing a team of Generator Electricians and Generator Installers for efficient and high-quality installation of standby power generator and energy storage battery units, ensuring profitability and complete customer satisfaction.
- Travel to installation jobsites and clean energy battery storage quotes in company-provided vehicle as-needed.
- Schedule and coordinate technician field labor assignments to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Assist in managing materials procurement and warehousing logistics to ensure adequate stock levels and delivery schedules for upcoming installations, interfacing with dedicated representatives at internal supply house and external vendor partners.
- Assist in forecasting and ordering materials and equipment to meet project requirements.
- Implement efficient inventory control measures to minimize waste and maintain cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review upcoming jobs for code compliance, materials procurement and technical efficiency, address production challenges, and ensure timely project completion.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture within the Operations and Installation teams, as well as the greater organization.
- Provide mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities for direct reports.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Coordinate with Director, Service/ Commercial Project Manager and technicians on Commercial Installations and Service/Warranty matters as applies to new installations.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP and other systems to assist internal and external accounting, accounts payable and receivable teams.
- Work closely with the Director to develop and manage budgets and strategy for inventory purchasing, field operations expansion and clean energy business development.
- Collaborate with Director, Sr. Service/Commercial Manager, sales team, electricians, technicians and others to produce or review complex electrical solution quotes as-needed.
- Monitor materials procurement expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Supervise technicians to ensure a clean and organized warehouse with accurate inventory.
- Assist the Director in managing Administrative employees to conduct utility stakeout calls, utility disconnect/reconnect scheduling, Service Scheduling, warranty submission, and other administrative tasks.
- Attend weekly Reliable Energy weekly sales and operations meetings in-person or via Teams
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance installation processes.
- Stay updated on advancements in electrical technologies relevant to generators, battery storage, EV charging and residential solar integration.
- Stay informed about updates to electrical codes and industry best practices.
- Support other initiatives, tasks and roles as reasonably required by the business.

What You Will Need
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical systems preferred. Experience designing and installing Battery Storage Systems is a plus.
- Proven experience in managing field construction operations in the standby power generation and clean energy sectors.
- Strong knowledge of standby power generation and clean energy technologies, with a focus on battery storage solutions.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to develop and manage budgets.
- 5+ years of operations management experience, Generator installation management experience and NCEER Certifications a plus
- Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Basic mechanical and pipe fitting experience
- Problem-solving and Critical thinking abilities
- Have great time-management capabilities and detail-oriented
- Must be professional, reliable, honest, and hard-working
- Understand and follow written and oral instruction
- Familiarity with tools and equipment; heavy equipment experience a plus
- Valid driver’s license, possess and maintain a satisfactory driving record
- Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds at a time
