Patient Care Assistant

As a Patient Care Assistant you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to assist in delivery of patient care including personal hygiene and daily activities transporting patients and equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and reordering/stocking of supplies. Responsible for coordination of communications and procedures for the nursing unit, process electronic orders and assembling patient’s charts and other necessities.
Work Schedule: .8 FTE (32 hours per week), nights (11pm-7:30am). This position requires you work every other weekend and holiday.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have one of the following:- High school diploma or equivalent
- HS Diploma in progress and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
- Equivalent work experience in lieu of HS diploma or equivalent may be considered
- Valid BLS from American Heart Association or Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications:
- CNA experience
- HUC or unit clerk experience
- Microsoft office experience
- Prior experience in acute care or hospital setting
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
