You will develop, test and maintain applications that centralise product information, improve coordination between departments and support our expanding online sales channels. The role requires someone who can work independently, communicate clearly with non-technical colleagues and take development tasks from initial analysis through to implementation and ongoing maintenance.

- Enhance the company’s website and online sales functionality to support customer purchases and order processing.
- Develop integrations between online platforms and internal systems to improve information sharing and reduce duplicate data entry.

- Create software tools and automated workflows that reduce repetitive administrative work and improve coordination between departments.
- Develop data-processing and reporting functions that give staff and management access to useful operational information.
- Test new and updated software functions, investigate faults, debug program code and implement corrections.
- Support the deployment of software updates and provide ongoing maintenance to keep applications reliable and responsive to business needs.
- Contribute to planned improvements to the company’s business systems, including data migration and integration with new applications.
- Maintain technical documentation and provide staff with guidance on using newly developed or updated software functions.
- Review user feedback and recommend practical improvements as business processes and requirements evolve.
Skills and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- At least one year of relevant professional experience in software development or programming, with two or more years preferred.
- Practical experience developing and maintaining software applications that meet business or user requirements.
- A sound understanding of programming, databases and integration between software systems.
- Experience testing software, investigating faults and implementing improvements.
- The ability to analyse business processes and translate requirements from different departments into practical software solutions.
- The ability to work independently, organise development priorities and follow tasks through to implementation and ongoing support.
- Good communication skills, including the ability to explain software requirements and proposed solutions to non-technical colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain clear technical documentation.
Highly Regarded Experience
- Developing internal business applications, customer management tools or other operational systems.
- Working with e-commerce platforms and integrations involving product, customer or order information.
- Automating administrative processes, data transfers or business reporting.
- Supporting software deployment, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance of live applications.
- Working with stakeholders across different business functions to understand their needs and deliver usable software.
- Ability to read and understand Chinese-language software interfaces and related documentation would be highly regarded, to support system integration, workflow improvements and the development of additional application functions.
