Join SAP's senior engineering community, collaborating across product lines and mentoring teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud services worldwide.

What you'll bring

You're an experienced security engineer with deep cloud infrastructure skills, ready to design and deliver secure cloud deployments at global scale in a regulated enterprise environment.

- Working knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD tools, and Git for security automation

- Strong experience in operating systems administration and security engineering, including OS image creation and hardening

- Experience securing cloud infrastructure at scale on AWS and Azure

- Familiarity with managing and securing Kubernetes environments

- A degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience

- Fluency in written and spoken English is required for this role.

- ****** Due to the potentially classified nature of our work, your willingness is required to subject yourself to a governmental security clearance process ******

We also look for people who build trust naturally, communicate with clarity, keep the customer at the centre of what they do, and bring emotional intelligence and genuine problem-solving ability to the challenges they face.

In addition to the skills and experience specific to this role, all positions at SAP require candidates who are comfortable using AI tools — including agentic AI — in their day-to-day work, from crafting effective inputs and automating routine tasks, to evaluating AI-generated outputs for quality and driving adoption of AI practices within their teams.

What you'll build

You will own security engineering across SAP's Sovereign Cloud infrastructure, working alongside platform experts, operations teams, and hyperscaler partners to build a globally distributed security capability.

- Design and implement security concepts for infrastructure management across SAP's global Sovereign Cloud footprint

- Build and automate security solutions aligned with the Sovereign Cloud security strategy

- Strengthen automated provisioning of foundational cloud infrastructure and Sovereign Cloud-ready SAP products

- Apply compliance frameworks — including NIST and ISO — to guide security deployment decisions

- Partner with global operations teams and hyperscaler providers on security architecture

- Keep the team's knowledge current with native hyperscaler capabilities and modern infrastructure tooling
