Starting Pay: $22.00/hour, with potential for higher pay based on experience, plus a $3.00/hour shift differential.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable Overhead Crane Operator / Steel Material Handler to support steel handling, yard operations, and painting activities. This hands-on role involves moving structural steel, loading and unloading trailers, operating material-handling equipment, and assisting with steel surface preparation and painting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate overhead cranes to load and move structural steel.
- Use Pettibone equipment to transport steel around the yard.
- Unload incoming trailers and assist with material handling.
- Move trailers around the yard as needed.
- Follow safe operating procedures and maintain reliable attendance.
- Work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating overhead cranes and handling materials.
- Experience loading structural steel with an overhead crane is required.
- Experience with some or all of the listed equipment is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn additional equipment and procedures.
- Dependable attendance, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Compensation:
- Starting pay of $22.00/hour, with higher pay possible depending on experience.
- Additional $3.00/hour shift differential for 2nd shift.
