ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a small team building AI coding agents and research tools for financial services. As the first engineering hire, you will help mature the core product and work directly with customers to turn research needs into dependable software.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and improve coding agents that create custom data pipelines, web scrapers, and dashboards.
- Manage remote development environments and infrastructure for customer deployments.
- Work directly with customers to understand research goals and deliver tailored solutions.
- Take features from initial design and scoping through implementation and delivery.
- Develop agent skills, tool libraries, and scaffolding to expand platform capabilities.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Two to four years of full-stack product engineering experience, with a track record of shipping end-to-end products across frontend, backend, and data.
- Experience applying research in practical products, rather than working exclusively in research.
- Strong computer science or STEM fundamentals.
- Experience building LLM-powered applications or coding agents.
- Familiarity with Python, React, SQL, PostgreSQL, DuckDB, LLMs, and agent frameworks.
- Data pipeline experience, including web scraping, API integrations, and ETL for structured or unstructured data.
- Customer-facing engineering experience and the ability to turn requirements into shipped product.
- Interest or experience in finance, investing, or financial data products.
- Projects, open-source contributions, or writing that demonstrate engineering craft and initiative.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $165,000 to $210,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
