What you will be doing:

As Administrative Officer 1 for the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), you will:

- Supervise one Administrative Assistant 2 and work with an administrative team that includes two Accountants and an Administrative Operations Manager 1 (AOM 1).

- As a supervisor, you’ll ensure day-to-day financial transactions and administrative tasks are completed. These include p-card reconciliation, travel arrangements and reconciliation, bi-weekly timesheets, and managing a shared inbox.

- Working with the procurement team, this position will initiate procurements and help facilitate contracts.

- Working with the 2 RTHP Accountants and the AOM, you’ll be responsible for paying invoices, tracking expenditures, as well as assisting in tasks related to administrative and budgetary oversight for RHTP grant recipients.

The working environment you can expect:

This position is an in-office position in Juneau. Our office is in the Assistant Commissioner’s office in the Alaska Office Building. We are in the heart of downtown Juneau, near shopping and restaurants. Covered parking is provided in the adjacent State Office Building parking garage.

Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or experience providing administrative support to a business or organization, business administration, public administration, finance, banking, accounting, industrial relations, marketing, human resource management, logistics and supply chain management, or a similar business field.
