Lead Product Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a lean engineering team at an industrial real estate investment firm as its first product-focused engineer. You will own the front end of a new internal product, building data-rich tools that help teams make better investment decisions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Refactor and own the early front end, establish a design system and reusable components, and ship new features.
- Build user-facing experiences with charts, maps, and AI-powered insights on top of data.
- Work directly with internal users to understand workflows, gather requirements, and rapidly prototype and test ideas.
- Use Figma and AI tools to explore product concepts and contribute ideas to the roadmap.
- Partner with engineering and quantitative research colleagues to develop products for additional business functions.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Four to ten years of frontend-heavy experience building and shipping production applications, including at least two years at a large technology company or top-tier growth-stage startup.
- Strong experience with React and Next.js, enterprise products, and data-rich interfaces such as data visualizations, charts, or maps.
- Experience owning product development from scoping through deployment across substantial project areas, and shipping complete user-facing products.
- Comfort working directly with users and stakeholders to synthesize feedback and requirements.
- Experience with Figma or similar design tools, plus AI coding or design tools for rapid prototyping and development.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and a consistent engineering career path.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary range: $225,000 to $275,000 annually. Candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization. New visa sponsorship is not available; existing transferable visas are accepted.
LOCATION
On-site in New York, New York, four to five days per week.
