ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a small fintech team building an AI CFO agent for consumer brands and small businesses. You will work primarily on the agent, with meaningful ownership of its backend tools and quality, while also contributing to the lending infrastructure that supports the product.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and extend tools that help the agent complete financial and operational tasks, including email workflows, document completion, and account integrations.
- Improve the quality, breadth, and reliability of the agent's end-to-end task execution.
- Combine existing tools and develop new capabilities for the agent.
- Contribute to shared infrastructure for the lending and AI product.
- Take ownership of ambiguous engineering work and deliver independently in a fast-moving development environment.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- New graduate to five years of engineering experience.
- Experience building Python backend systems with APIs, asynchronous patterns, databases, and cloud deployment.
- Daily experience with agentic coding tools and considered views on agent system design.
- A track record of shipping projects with minimal direction, taking on ambiguous scope, and ramping quickly in unfamiliar codebases.
- Experience building full-stack systems with TypeScript, and ideally delivering zero-to-one products with active users.
- Strong technical fundamentals; experience in a fast-paced startup, large technology company, or quantitative engineering environment is relevant.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $175,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
