Under the direction of the Nurse Manger, the SART Registered Nurse employs intellectual, interpersonal and technical skills through utilization of the nursing process to assist patients/victims of sexual assault. The SART RN functions as a health team member through independent, interdependent and dependent roles within the health care system. Serving as the patient's advocate, the SART RN assumes responsibility and accountability for nursing care for patients 12 years of age and above. Participates as a supportive team member to assist sexual assault and physical assault victims and is available as needed for courtroom testimony.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 2 years of Acute care or specialty (Emergency Department, Pediatrics and/or Gynecology) experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Upon hire: Certification as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner
- Program management experience.
