IT Support Technician I (Candidates must be located in Orange County, CA area)

Join LSL's Information Technology team as an IT Support Technician, where you'll play an important role in keeping our employees connected, productive, and supported.

This staff position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in IT while gaining hands-on experience in a professional services environment. You'll serve as the first point of contact for everyday technology needs, troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and account access issues while delivering outstanding customer service.

Working alongside experienced IT professionals, you'll have opportunities to expand your technical skills through hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to a variety of technology systems and projects.

What you will be doing:

- Provide first-level (Tier 1) technical support to employees through phone, email, chat, and the firm's ticketing system

- Troubleshoot and resolve common technology issues, including password resets, account access, multi-factor authentication (MFA), software installations, printers, network connectivity, and hardware.

- Deliver responsive, professional, and friendly technical assistance to employees at all levels of the organization.

- Configure, image, and deploy laptops, desktops, and other technology equipment in accordance with firm standards.

- Prepare and distribute technology equipment for new hires and existing employees. Must be willing and able to commute to our Irvine, CA office on an occasional, as-needed basis.

- Maintain accurate support tickets, documenting troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and relevant technical information.

- Assist with IT asset management, including inventory tracking, equipment tagging, replacements, and hardware retirement.

- Support new-hire onboarding by setting up user accounts, permissions, software applications, and workstations.\

- Identify and escalate complex technical issues to senior IT team members, providing detailed documentation to support timely resolution.

- Collaborate with the IT team to improve support processes, maintain technology standards, and enhance the employee experience.

- Participate in technical training, cross-training, and mentorship opportunities to continuously develop your IT knowledge and skills.

- Maintain confidentiality and follow established IT security policies and procedures.

- ​Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education & Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

- Previous experience in a help desk, technical support, or customer service environment preferred.

- CompTIA A+ certification, or progress toward obtaining certification, is a plus.

Technical Skills

- Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications required.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems, device imaging, and endpoint management tools preferred

- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to employees with varying levels of technical knowledge.

- Strong attention to detail when documenting technical issues, maintaining records, and following established procedures.

Work Authorization:

Salary Range: $25.00 - $35.00

Please note that quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of what final salary offers may be. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that LSL, LLP provides to compensate and recognize our professionals for their work. All exempt positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus, and all employees who are regularly scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week are offered a comprehensive benefits package.
