ABOUT THE ROLE
Build developer-facing products that turn complex web pages into clean data and useful actions for AI systems. You will own features from idea through production, helping shape a web data and browser automation platform used by developers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and ship developer-facing product features from early ideas through production.
- Own the reliability and quality of browser and web data products as websites change and introduce obstacles.
- Turn ambiguous technical problems into clear, intuitive APIs.
- Contribute to roadmap decisions and engineering tradeoffs.
- Use the product, review developer feedback, and work directly with customers to debug integrations.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Three to eight years of product engineering experience, with a track record of shipping products used by external developers, such as APIs, SDKs, or developer tools.
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js experience, plus production experience with browser automation, scraping, anti-bot systems, or web agents.
- Familiarity with tools such as Playwright, Puppeteer, Chromium, REST APIs, and LLM APIs or AI agents.
- Experience owning features end to end, working directly with customers, and adapting products based on observed user needs.
- An AI-native approach to development, including regular use of coding agents and an understanding of how agents use tools and web data.
- Comfort working with ambiguity, moving quickly, and taking responsibility for product quality and developer experience.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $235,000 to $260,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
LOCATION
On-site five days per week in San Francisco, California. Candidates may also work on-site in Toronto, Canada, and must be based there or relocate before starting.
