We are seeking a skilled and experienced Single Hand Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and capable of passing a 6G welding test. This position requires expertise in welding pipes in all
positions and ensuring high-quality, structurally sound welds
Requirements:
- Must pass a 6G SMAW welding test prior to employment
- • Minimum 3 years of welding experience (pipe welding preferred)
- • Proficiency in welding techniques, including stick welding (SMAW). (TGAW would be
- a plus).
- • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
- • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- • Must have or be willing to test for necessary welding certifications as required
- • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions if required
Job Responsibilities:
- • Perform SMAW welding on various materials, primarily carbon pipe welding in the
- 6G position. Stainless Steel TGAW would be a plus.
- • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding procedures
- • Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and company policies
- • Inspect and test welds to maintain quality control
- • Operate welding and cutting equipment safely and effectively
- • Work in a variety of environments, including cold weather, confined spaces or
- elevated positions.
- • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
Knowledge & Skill:
- • Previous experience in an industrial, construction, or manufacturing setting
- • Additional certifications in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, or FCAW welding processes
- • Knowledge of safety regulations and welding codes (e.g., AWS, ASME)
