We are seeking an experienced IT Administrator/Support IV to support critical infrastructure and enterprise systems on the North Slope. This is a senior-level role responsible for maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performing IT environments that support ongoing field operations.
We're looking for a seasoned systems/infrastructure professional who excels in server administration, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, virtualization, and enterprise support.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain physical and virtual server environments
- Perform server patching, security updates, and preventative maintenance
- Conduct security assessments and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices
- Protect network infrastructure from vulnerabilities and threats
- Manage backups, replication processes, and recovery procedures
- Support and improve disaster recovery environments
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and system issues
- Review system logs and collaborate with application teams to resolve production incidents
- Create and maintain network, system, and operational documentation
- Lead infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and improvement projects
- Utilize project management methodologies to drive successful project execution
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and end users
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of IT infrastructure, systems administration, or enterprise support experience
- Strong experience supporting Windows server environments
- Experience with server patching, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity best practices
- Hands-on experience with backups, replication, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
- Experience supporting virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Experience leading technical projects and infrastructure upgrades
- Ability to work independently in a remote operational environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Oil & Gas, industrial, energy, utilities, or other critical infrastructure experience
- Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP administration
- Networking experience including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs
- Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS
- Security certifications or advanced infrastructure certifications
