Cyber Security Analyst / Engineer

We are seeking experienced Cyber Security Analysts and Engineers to connect with leading organisations across Sydney. We are interested in professionals across a range of cyber security disciplines, from security operations and incident response through to security engineering, cloud security and vulnerability management.
You will be involved in delivering and supporting cyber security operations, technical security initiatives and risk reduction activities, working closely with technology, infrastructure and business teams across complex environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to security events, incidents and potential threats
- Support security operations and incident response activities across enterprise environments
- Perform vulnerability identification, assessment and remediation activities
- Configure, maintain and improve security technologies and controls
- Support SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM and security monitoring capabilities
- Contribute to cloud security initiatives across AWS, Azure or other cloud environments
- Investigate security alerts and undertake appropriate threat detection and analysis
- Work closely with infrastructure, engineering and technology teams to implement security improvements
- Contribute to security assessments, technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience working within Cyber Security, Information Security or a related technical discipline
- Experience across one or more areas including SOC, SIEM, incident response, vulnerability management, IAM, EDR/XDR, cloud security or security engineering
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, threats and security controls
- Experience working with relevant cyber security tools and technologies
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CCSP or vendor-specific certifications are advantageous
