Power the future of space at Star Catcher

Star Catcher is building the first energy grid in space to power the orbital economy.

Today’s spacecraft must generate all of their own power, which caps what they can do and how long they can operate. But what if they could “plug” into a grid, the way buildings do on Earth? Instead of cables and outlets, Star Catcher is building the technology to wirelessly beam energy to spacecraft’s existing solar panels when and where they need it.

Be an early member of a team building an entirely new energy infrastructure at scale to power the next frontier.

Star Catcher Industries, Inc. (Star Catcher) located in Jacksonville, Florida, is building the first power grid in space. We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and customer-focused IT Support Technician to support our rapidly scaling team across our corporate offices and new high-tech facility in Jacksonville, Florida—featuring clean rooms, optical labs, and machine shops. In this role, you will be the primary technical contact for employees, ensuring rapid resolution of hardware, software, and peripheral issues to keep our fast-paced engineering teams running smoothly. Operating directly at the intersection of enterprise IT, specialized hardware labs, and defense-grade security protocols, you will ensure our workforce is supported by high-velocity, reliable, and compliant IT operations.

- User Support & Guidance: Educate employees on IT self-service tools, standard workstation setups, and corporate technology policies.

Asset Management, Lab IT & Infrastructure Support

- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory tracking for all hardware assets, software licenses, cleanroom peripherals, and spare technical equipment.

- Lab & Hardware Support: Assist Systems & Network Engineers with physical IT installations, server room rack wiring, patch panel management, and workstation setups in cleanroom/lab environments.

- Endpoint Management: Support endpoint management tools (e.g., Jamf, Intune) to ensure all workstations receive timely operating system patches, software updates, and antivirus updates.

IT Compliance & Operational Security

- Cybersecurity Compliance: Enforce baseline cybersecurity controls and data handling policies across all endpoints in accordance with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC compliance guidelines.

- Export Control Governance: Ensure strict adherence to ITAR/EAR export control protocols regarding user access, system permissions, and physical hardware handling.

- Escalation Management: Escalate complex system failures, security anomalies, or high-level network outages promptly to senior IT engineering leads.

Qualifications & Requirements

Core Qualifications

- Education: Associate degree or vocational certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical hands-on experience).

- Experience: Track record of hands-on IT helpdesk, desktop support, or field service experience—preferably in a fast-paced hardware engineering, manufacturing, or defense environment.

- OS & Software Proficiency: Strong troubleshooting experience with Windows 10/11, macOS, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and standard productivity tools.
