POSITION SUMMARY

The Case Manager Supervisor – New York, Electronic Monitoring, Community Corrections oversees Case Managers and operations across assigned offices within the territory. This position ensures consistent, compliant delivery of electronic monitoring and community corrections services; monitors employee performance and office operations; and conducts quality assurance and compliance reviews. The Supervisor also serves as a key contact for courts, probation departments, and government partners and regularly travels throughout the region to support employees, oversee operations, and attend meetings or court proceedings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Supervises the management, development, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of electronic monitoring and non-residential case management services throughout the assigned New York territory.

- Directly supervises Electronic Monitoring Case Managers and other assigned employees throughout the territory. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, onboarding and training employees; coaching and developing staff; evaluating performance and preparing written performance appraisals; resolving employee concerns; taking corrective or disciplinary action as appropriate; developing work schedules; monitoring work assignments; reviewing attendance; and approving leave requests in accordance with company policy.

- Oversees operations of assigned area offices and ensures adequate staffing, appropriate coverage, consistent procedures, and compliance with company policies, court requirements, government-partner expectations, and contractual requirements. Provides hands-on operational assistance during periods of short staffing, emergencies, unusual caseload demands, or other operational needs.

- Travels regularly throughout the assigned territory to area offices, local courts, probation departments, government agencies, government-partner locations, and other sites as necessary to oversee operations, support employees, address service or compliance concerns, and maintain partner relationships.

- Develops and maintains professional working relationships with judges, court personnel, probation departments, government agencies, and other government partners.

- Attends court proceedings and meetings and testifies, communicates, or provides information to courts and government partners as required.

- Reviews required court and agency reports, including reports related to violations, non-compliance, terminations, revocations, warrants, affidavits, or other case actions, as applicable. Ensures reports are accurate, properly documented, and prepared in accordance with company procedures and applicable court or agency requirements. Makes edits and corrections as needed.

- Conducts periodic quality assurance and compliance audits across assigned offices and the region. Reviews client files, electronic monitoring records, case documentation, equipment inventories, drug and alcohol testing practices, cash collection and deposit practices, and other operational functions. Reports findings and ensures identified deficiencies are addressed through corrective action, retraining, process improvement, or additional oversight.

- Monitors regional case management and electronic monitoring practices to ensure employees properly install and uninstall monitoring equipment, respond to electronic monitoring alerts, document client activity and violations, communicate with referring agencies, maintain equipment, and complete required court or agency reporting.

- Oversees accountability for electronic monitoring equipment throughout the region, including inventory controls, equipment condition, troubleshooting processes, missing equipment reporting, and requests for replacement or additional equipment.

- Maintain collection spreadsheets and ensures money order payments are sent to headquarters per policy.

- Audits subordinates' payroll records, reviews the use of overtime, and ensures timekeeping and scheduling practices are accurate and appropriate.

- Conducts and/or attends scheduled staff meetings to promote the proper flow of information between management, staff, courts, government partners, and clients. Clearly communicates employee responsibilities, authority, accountability, operational expectations, and changes in procedures.

- Utilizes established company policies and procedures in making decisions while performing with a high degree of independence, professional administrative skill, and sound judgment in meeting the responsibilities of the position.

- Maintains the security and confidentiality of client and administrative records and ensures employees throughout the region comply with confidentiality and records-management requirements.

- Maintains regular communication with senior management regarding area operations, staffing, partner relationships, compliance concerns, significant client matters, and emerging operational issues.

- Domestic U.S. travel is required, including regular travel within the assigned New York territory.

- Other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university in criminal justice, social or behavioral science or a closely related field is required.

- One (1) year of experience in a related field is required.

- Ability to communicate clearly verbally in writing and apply problem solving techniques to complex issues.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel) preferred.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills required

- Demonstrate ability to complete pre-service and other training programs as required.

- Valid driver’s license is required.

- Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned New York region and to local courts, area offices, and government-partner locations is required.
