Product Manager - Data Analytics
Aidn · Oslo, Norway · hybrid
📍 Oslo
💰 Salary: 1.150.000 - 1.300.000 NOK/year
🌍 Why this role mattersFour years ago, Aidn was just an idea. Today, we are the market leader in the municipal healthcare sector. As Aidn matures from startup to industry leader, we will do more than offer a great product. We will become the healthcare platform that elevates the entire ecosystem.
At Aidn, we are building the next generation of health technology for Norwegian municipalities. Analytical data sits at the core of that value proposition, through built-for-purpose analytical user interfaces. We have won a large share of the Norwegian market, and these municipalities are now being onboarded to Aidn, which makes reliable, well-structured data and insight more important than ever.
We believe that better decisions create better care – Aidn Analytics gives the people running, delivering, and building health and care services the insight to make good decisions and prepare for the challenges of tomorrow.
🔧 What you’ll be working onIn this role, you’ll own the product direction for Aidn Analytics, working closely with a design lead and tech lead in a product Trio. Together, you’ll discover the right problems to solve, test ideas, and follow their impact.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Setting a product direction: Setting the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Aidn Analytics, and keeping it connected to Aidn's product vision and real municipal needs.
- Drive the transformation to distributed ownership: Define the operating model, golden paths, and governance together with domain teams, and enable them to develop and own their data products.
- Own prioritisation across the data platform, analytics capabilities, and the overall Aidn Analytics user and developer experience.
- Lead by example on being data-driven: Define success metrics, use data in your own decisions, and help Aidn and the municipalities do the same.
- Building and learning with AI: Use AI tools systematically throughout your work; analyze feedback at scale, prototype concepts, improve the data developer experience, generate insights from data, and accelerate delivery without compromising quality.
- Understanding customers and users: Spend time with municipal decision-makers and healthcare professionals to understand needs, build trusted relationships, and ensure data products get adopted and create value.
- Communicate direction and progress: Collaborate closely with leadership and internal stakeholders (product, tech, compliance, sales/tender), and clearly prioritize needs we uncover in discovery and tender commitments in the product roadmap.
- Lead the cross-functional D&A team day-to-day and make the build/buy and tooling trade-offs together with the team.
🤝 Who you areThis is first and foremost a Product Manager role, but we need someone with a data background who can be hands-on when needed and lead by example in what it means to be data-driven, both for Aidn and for the municipalities.
You likely have:- 5+ years of experience from a data analyst role or similar, with an analytical mindset and a good understanding of what it takes to succeed with analytics.
- Experience as a Product Manager (or equivalent product leadership), with a strong product mindset, or
- Experience owning a data platform or internal data product, and driving change in how teams own and publish data (governance, self-service, or similar), ideally across teams you didn’t manage.
- Strong business understanding and the ability to connect data to customer and company value.
- Hands-on customer and user discovery experience, with the ability to uncover the underlying need behind a requested solution.
- Experience working with non-technical users, and have strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Practical experience using AI in both analytics and product work, and have opinions on how this should be applied in analytics.
- Ability to set direction and lead in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment, and to lead through influence across teams.
- Ability to be hands-on in data (SQL, modern data tooling) when needed.
- Fluent Norwegian (C1 level) for collaboration and testing with municipal users, and professional English for internal collaboration.
It’s a plus if you have:- Experience driving distributed or federated data ownership, data mesh, or enablement models
- Experience with dbt or similar transformation tooling and a modern self-service BI tool
- Experience with data platform or data product management
- B2B SaaS and scale-up experience
- Healthtech, public sector, or another high-trust/regulated data environment
- Familiarity with data governance and privacy considerations (e.g., DPIA).
👋 The TeamYou will join our Data & Analytics team, a newly established cross-functional team with a data engineer, a UX designer, two developers (including a tech lead), and a Data Analyst. The team owns the shared data platform, the analytics capabilities, and the overall Aidn Analytics experience. The team operates as its own product area and works closely with several product teams and our Infrastructure team.
Problems we’re working on right now include:- Building a modern data platform from a blank slate, in a year when AI is reshaping what the interface for insight work looks like
- Shaping how municipal care leadership makes decisions, so municipalities are prepared for rising demand and complexity in the services they must provide (the ageing population wave)
- Experimenting with AI and agents to make data more accessible and understandable, within a distributed ownership model across our product organization, while onboarding many of Norway's municipalities.
💬 What success looks likeAfter 3 months:
- Ramped up on Aidn's domain, data model, tender commitments, and municipal customers, and has met key municipalities and domain teams.
- Has a clear view of what must be delivered fast, what can wait, and what moves to 2028.
- Has built a few data products end-to-end with successful adoption in municipalities, with a good understanding of our platform and tooling.
After 6 months:
- Owns and has communicated a clear direction for Aidn Analytics, including the plan for distributed ownership and the learnings from the first municipal users.
- Multiple teams run according to distributed ownership, each with at least one data product delivered to real municipal users.
- Feedback loops on data quality are in place. Internal use of the data platform is growing towards the 2027 targets.
After 12 months:
- Distributed ownership works in practice, with most product teams building their own data products, and new teams can self-onboard using documentation and AI-assisted tooling.
- Adoption is visible among municipalities, and Aidn Analytics is a reason municipalities choose and stay with Aidn.
- There is a direction for what moves beyond 2027.
