Position Summary:
The Project Manager owns customer orders from start to finish, including order entry, PO review, collecting the information needed to build the order, and providing regular updates. The Project Manager is the main point of contact for customers and distributors, answers questions about our products, and serves as the liaison between customers and engineering to make sure each built-to-order product is defined and delivered correctly.
Essential Responsibilities:
Order Management
- Manage assigned customer orders from start to finish, including order entry, PO review, information gathering, and status updates, to ensure accurate and on-time delivery.
- Enter orders, create product records, and issue production folders in our ERP system (ECI M1).
- Review customer purchase order information for accuracy and completeness; resolve questions or discrepancies before the order is released.
- Collect and confirm all information needed to process the order, including product configurations, materials, finishes, and customer approvals.
- Read architectural layouts and be able to identify products related to sales orders.
- Coordinate with production and other internal teams to meet committed dates.
- Complete production forms and communication materials, and hand off order details to the team.
- Maintain a list of active projects to meet team weekly KPI objectives.
Customer Communication and Support
- Provide customers and distributors with regular order updates and communicate delays or changes promptly with alternative solutions.
- Answer customer questions about our products, options, materials, finishes, and lead times.
- Manage communications with multiple customers and distributors at once.
- Work with distributors to identify opportunities and define projects.
- Act as the liaison between customers and engineering, accurately relaying requirements, questions, and changes in both directions.
- Understand the designs of our products, materials, finishes, and new designs.
- Work in a fast-paced environment where orders are built to order and contain customization based on customer requests.

- Working knowledge of ERP systems, with the ability to learn ECI M1.
- Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
- Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Training and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or a related field, or a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in manufacturing, order processing, or customer-facing project coordination.

Work might entail significant time spent standing, exposure to extreme temperatures, enduring distracting/uncomfortable sounds and noise levels, as well as exposure to potentially hazardous conditions and equipment. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. Overtime may be necessary as workloads dictate. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
